INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS

1. This programme is available to registered or exempt charities operating within the United Kingdom, and is for capital projects only. 

2. Reflecting the Trust’s focus on translational research, the available funding will be allocated to support investment in equipment and facilities needed to accelerate internationally competitive research in UK universities and/or NHS organisations.


3. This form is designed for use as a first stage Expression of Interest. Expressions of Interest may be submitted until noon on Friday, 28th February 2025. Shortlisted applications will be asked to provide a fully detailed application which will be presented to the board of trustees for a decision at its meeting in the autumn. Further information about the second stage application process will be provided to shortlisted applicants.

5. Preliminary applications are limited to one per organisation/institution, per year and we are not able to award capital funding to:
  • Beneficiaries who do not have registered or exempt charity status, 
  • Overseas organisations, or to organisation based in the UK who are seeking support for a project overseas, 
  • Religious, faith, or belief-based organisations
  • Organisations that have received capital funding from the Trust in the last two years or hold an active capital grant from the Trust. If you are not sure, please contact the Trust.
